Regenerative Photonic Therapy

Regenerative Photonic Therapy – RPT was developed by Drs Salansky 25 years ago. The technology is approved by Health Canada and ISO certified.

What is Regenerative Photonic Therapy?

Red and Infrared light emitting (superluminous) diodes (LED) are programmed with specific therapeutic optical parameters to provide pain relief and activate particular healing mechanisms in the injured and painful tissues. The probes have multiple diodes to provide 3D photon distributions to treat larger painful areas of the body as well as multiple sites of injury.

Global Physiotherapy combines RPT with laser to improve healing and relieve pain from injuries and chronic conditions like knee arthritis.

What does Photonic Therapy do?

This therapy produces significant pain relief and promotes healing of injured tissue without side effects. The patented therapeutic optical windows are programmed, sequenced and adjusted according to the patient and their condition. Global Physiotherapy physiotherapists have extensive training to determine the best treatment protocols for each individual.

How does RPT relieve pain and inflammation?

The photon emission from the probes modulate the release of cell messengers like prostaglandins, interleukins and growth factors. The technology uses the red and infrared light therapy to contribute to the healing cycles:

  • Tissue cleansing or decreasing inflammation
  • Tissue repair
  • Increases cell and tissue metabolism
  • Increases synthesis of cellular energy or ATP
  • Increases local blood supply

When can regenerative photonic therapy help me?

New muscle sprains and ligament strains

Laser combined with RPT helps reduce swelling and start the healing process immediately. The cellular response lasts for up to several days. Use ice and/or heat at home and receive the therapeutic benefits of this technology from the experienced physical therapists on staff.

Chronic muscle and joint pain

The multiple pain sites can be treated with the technology to treat the adaptive changes that occur with chronic pain.

Nerve pain and tingling

Laser combined with RPT allows for multiple sites of treatment in one session. For carpal tunnel or hand tingling, the complete nerve path can be treated from the neck to the fingers. A clinical trial in Toronto, Ontario showed a statistically significant improvement in median nerve function.

Chronic Arthritis

Is knee pain preventing you from enjoying an active lifestyle? Laser combined with RPT, manual therapy, and exercise helps patients of all ages enjoy going to the gym, playing with grandchildren, walking, golfing, and more.

Are You Ready to Use Less Medication and Get Active Again?

Global Physiotherapy offers the unique combination of regenerative photonic therapy and laser to treat injuries right after they happen and when they have become chronic. Contact Global Physiotherapy today to request an appointment.

Reduce or stop taking medication. Be confident to resume walking, cycling and golf without shoulder, back or knee pain.
